Tennis Hotshots is a Tennis Australia National based program that caters for beginners from 4 - 12 years of age.
What is ANZ Tennis Hot Shots?
ANZ Tennis Hot Shots is based on a "learning through playing" philosophy, which means that playing the game of tennis is the central feature of each session. Smaller courts, racquets, and softer tennis balls make it possible to develop children's skills faster, while the red, orange and green stages offer a clear pathway.
Hot Shots is heaps of fun, with lots of social interaction in a quality-controlled environment overseen by experienced staff.
Program Overview
- National-based program catering for beginner/intermediate boys and girls aged 5 years through to 12 years.
- Free starter pack and shirt.
- 1.5 hour sessions.
- 4 stages - Blue Ball, Red Ball, Orange Ball, Green Ball.

2-5 Year Olds
Age: 2-5 years old
Duration: 30 minutes
Fee: $100
Weeks: 8
Children use a variety of large sports balls and the 25 per cent compression red balls that are easier to track and hit.
Children play on variable size courts which are smaller than three-metres.
Recommended racquet size is 19-21 inches.
5-8 Year Olds
Age: 5-8 years old
Duration: 40 minutes
Fee: $110
Weeks: 8
Children use 25 per cent compression red balls that bounce lower, slower and are much easier to hit.
Children play on three-metre or six-metre wide courts.
Recommended racquet size is 21-23 inches.

Children use 50 per cent compression orange balls and play on regular courts with reduced length and width.
Recommended racquet size is 23-25 inches.
10+ Year Olds
Age: 10 Years+
Duration: 60 minutes
Fee: $130
Weeks: 8
Children play on a full-sized court using 75 per cent compression green balls.
Recommended racquet size is 25-27 inches.
